Mildred Mills Atcheson

	Mildred Mills Atcheson, 81, of DuQuoin, passed away at 10:17 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2000 at the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
	Mildred as an administrative assistant at Ralph A. Bard and Associates.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Arlington Heights, Ill.  She wsa a member of the DuQuoin Domestic Science Club.
	 She was born August 13, 1919 at Paragould, Arkansas, the daughter of H.B. Mills Sr. and Hazel Black Mills.  She married William H. Atcheson on July 18, 1969 at Arlington Heights, Ill. and he survives.
	 She is survived by her husband of Duquoin; three step-sons, James Atcheson of Lake Tahoe, Calif., Gordon Atcheson of Seoul, South Korea and John Atcheson of Rockville, Md.; two sisters, Mary Lou Rodely of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Trish Gregory of Dallas, Tex.; two brothers, Harmon Mills Jr. of Salem, Ill, and James E. Mills of Overland Park, Kan.; seven step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Francis Marshall and one brother, Kenneth Mills.
	Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2001 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
	 Friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in the Masonic-Oddfellows Cemetery at Benton.
 	Friends may make memorials to the DuQuoin Library and were accepted at the funeral home.
